“Conor said he would win the lightweight title and fight four times a year, defending both belts. If anyone can do this, it's someone Conor McGregor. This guy did basically everything he said he would do. I think it’s interesting”, said the director, on the “UFC Tonight” program.

Dana also explained the reason for setting this historical precedent for the Irish. “It's true that normally I would say that if he's going to move up in weight, he has to give up the belt. But Conor did everything he said he would do. He loves to fight. He really likes money. So if anyone can do it, it’s probably him.”

At 27, Conor McGregor has a professional record of 19 wins and two losses. With the triumph over José Aldo At UFC 194, McGregor extended his unbeaten run to 15 consecutive fights and reached five years without knowing what defeat is – in addition to interrupting the Brazilian's ten-year undefeated streak.
