Natalia Silva barely won the UFC flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg) and already has a reason to worry about keeping the title. The Brazilian defeated Wang Cong in the main event of UFC 332, held this Saturday (3), and became champion of the category after Valentina Shevchenko left the position vacant due to an injury. However, the former champion seems to have no intention of waiting long to try to recover the old trophy.
In a post on X, Valentina Shevchenko congratulated Natalia Silva on her victory and acknowledged that the belt is now in the hands of an athlete she considers deserving of the title. The former champion also expressed respect for the Brazilian and the journey she built to reach the top of the division.

"Well deserved, Natalia! Congratulations! It's a pleasure to know that the UFC Championship belt is now being worn by a deserving martial artist – like you!", wrote Valentina Shevchenko.
Despite the praise, Shevchenko made it clear that she intends to return to the octagon as soon as she recovers and fight for the flyweight title again. The Ukrainian reinforced that she doesn't intend to let Natalia Silva enjoy the title for long and has already indicated that her goal is to regain the champion's position.
"But don't get too used to it, keep it warm, I'm coming soon for my belt!", concluded the former champion.
