Deiveson Figueiredo started the fight reactively. Maintaining a good distance, the Brazilian relied on low kicks, but just 30 seconds into the fight, Talbott landed a powerful straight punch that knocked the Paraense fighter down.

Subsequently, Deiveson sought to grapple in an attempt to survive, but Payton Talbott continued to advance and punish the Brazilian with powerful strikes. After the series of attacks, referee Jason Herzog decided to stop the fight and declared a technical knockout.
