Glover Teixeira believes the fight between Caio Borralho and Yousri Belgaroui will be decided mostly on the feet. Scheduled for the main card of UFC 334 on November 14th, the duel pits a kickboxing specialist against a judo fighter. Despite the Brazilian's strong grappling game, the veteran predicts that the two will hardly spend much of the fight on the ground.
During an appearance on the Overdogs Brasil podcast, Glover Teixeira assessed that Caio should try to take the fight to the ground, mainly because he is facing a high-level striking opponent. In the former UFC champion's view, this is a natural strategy for someone who doesn't want to exchange blows for a long time with a striking specialist.
The veteran also highlighted that the dynamic could change if Yousri manages to show good takedown defense and clinch game. In that scenario, according to Glover, Caio might end up opting to stay in the striking exchanges longer, avoiding wasting energy on attempts to take the fight to the ground.

“In my opinion, it’s going to be a stand-up fight, but I think Caio will try to take it down. I talk about this with Yousri, I talk to Poatan, and I used to talk to Chuck Liddell. People are going to try to take it down because striking against a high-level opponent is pointless. Of course, everyone will think about taking it down, but when they see the opponent defending well in the clinch, that’s when they start exchanging more blows, because they wasted energy for nothing,” said Glover Teixeira.
It's all or nothing for Caio Borralho in the UFC.
