Josh Hokit believes Gable Stevenson underestimated his last fight in the UFC. Considered a heavy favorite at UFC 331 , Jon Jones ' protégé lasted only 12 seconds in the octagon before being knocked out by Sean Sharaf. The heavyweight believes the result may have been due to inadequate preparation.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Hokit stated that he had received information that Steveson was not training properly and was not even sparring before his UFC debut.
“This is a completely different game. I heard that Steveson isn’t training properly. I heard he’s not even sparring. We’ll see what he’s made of,” said Josh Hokit.

The fighter also assessed that Steveson will now have to deal with adversity after the setback. According to Hokit, the American is trying to maintain an image that does not correspond to the current situation.
"Adversity has arrived. He's there, smiling and still trying to maintain this false image," the loudmouth concluded.
End of the hype?

Considered one of the most anticipated names in the UFC, Gable Stevenson barely had time to warm up in his second fight in the organization. In the first few seconds, Jon Jones ' protégé tried to advance on Sean Sharaf, but was surprised by a series of crosses. The last blow, a left cross, landed squarely and instantly knocked down the Olympic medalist.
