Norma Dumont suffered a controversial defeat at UFC Vegas 121, held last Saturday (26), to Ailin Perez by unanimous decision of the judges. After the result, the Brazilian did not hide her dissatisfaction and questioned the judges' scoring in the fight valid for the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg).
In a post on her Instagram stories after the fight, Norma didn't hold back her criticism of the result and made clear her dissatisfaction with the judges' decision. The Chute Boxe athlete also pointed out the moments in the fight that, in her view, were decisive in justifying the victory.

“For me, it was one of the most absurd things I've ever seen in real MMA. For me, it was clear what happened in the first and third rounds. Argentina didn't do anything; she just went to the hospital to get stitches on her face, she went straight to the hospital, she's so messed up, and I'm fine. She didn't do anything in the third round, and she knows it because I was hitting her and talking to her, I was hitting her and talking to her the whole time,” said Norma Dumont.
"She was desperate, there's no way I could give her a third round, she didn't do anything, I'm calm, confident that I won this fight and she knows it. I don't accept this result," the fighter from Minas Gerais concluded.
With this result, Norma Dumont missed the opportunity to get closer to a title shot in the bantamweight division. The Brazilian was coming off a loss to Joselyne Edwards and now has two consecutive losses in the UFC.
On the other hand, Ailin Perez extended her winning streak to seven victories and gained momentum in the division. The Argentinian left the octagon with a unanimous decision win.
