One of the best grapplers of today, Mikey Musumeci confirmed his favoritism with flying colors at UFC BJJ 11. In the main fight of the UFC grappling event, held last Thursday (24), in Las Vegas (USA), the jiu-jitsu star prevailed against the controversial Bryce Mitchell , Jean Silva 's rival , and won by unanimous decision. But, before the triumph was consummated, the athlete went through a tremendous scare when he suffered a violent takedown from his opponent.

Known for his technique, Musumeci attacked Mitchell seeking a submission via armbar, leg lock, guillotine choke, rear-naked choke, and triangle choke. However, as 'Thug Nasty' is also a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu, he managed to defend himself throughout the three rounds. In fact, in the final round, the UFC fighter pulled off a dangerous move, delivering a violent slam to Mikey. He was immediately warned by the referee.
Therefore, at the end of the 15-minute fight, 'Darth Rigatoni' came out on top by points. And, even though he didn't finish Mitchel, Musumeci approved of the fight and his performance on the mat. It's worth noting that the UFC BJJ bantamweight champion is preparing to make his MMA debut.
“I would love to fight more MMA fighters again. That’s my goal, to start the transition to MMA. So, I want to continue learning more about jiu-jitsu for MMA. It was fun. I enjoyed it. I want more MMA grapplers as opponents. I would prefer to practice that grappling style. It was much more fun for me,” said the fighter.
