After much provocation, contractual disagreements, and years of waiting, the super fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will finally materialize. The Englishmen, former world boxing champions and eternal rivals, will face off on December 11th in Wales. The star-studded encounter is so grand that the event will be streamed live on Netflix.

The announcement of the duel between Fury and Joshua was made this Thursday (24) by the streaming giant itself and by Sheikh Turki Alalshikh, president of the General Entertainment Authority of the Saudi Arabian government, owner of the traditional magazine 'The Ring' and co-founder of Zuffa Boxing, Dana White's company. The strangeness of many is with the venue of the event, because, as the stars are British, the expectation was that the fight would take place in England.
In any case, what matters is that, despite the long delay, the pair will resolve their differences.
While Turki played a key role in making the highly anticipated Fury vs. Joshua fight a reality, it will be Dana White, the UFC leader and his friend, who will be promoting it. Unsurprisingly, the executives are openly excited about the fight, one of the most publicized in boxing history.
“Two of the best heavyweights of this generation, finally together in the ring. This will be one of the greatest fights in boxing history. I am very happy to be able to put on this fight for the fans,” said Turki.
“For over a decade, boxing fans have been clamoring for a heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Together, they boast 66 wins, 52 knockouts, and multiple world titles. On December 11th, two of the greatest heavyweights of this generation will finally face off, and the winner will earn a prominent place in the history of the division.”
