Ciryl Gane experienced an unforgettable night at UFC Casa Branca , held in June. On that occasion, the Frenchman faced Alex Poatan , knocked out the Brazilian in the second round and won the interim heavyweight title (up to 120,2 kg). The result was described by 'The Good Boy' as the greatest victory of his career.

In a statement to 'Zack Nani TV', Ciryl Gane explained that the ease with which he fought may have been a result of his own fighting style. The Frenchman highlighted that his strategy worked as planned and allowed him to put his main strengths into practice.

“This seems easy to people. But that’s often the case in my career… It’s just that my fighting style makes the fight look easy. But that has nothing to do with it. My strategy was very good, my strengths were what I managed to show. With mental preparation, I visualized a victory (against Poatan), I visualized me landing a jab on him. There are many things I visualized, but it was great preparation,” said Ciryl Gane.

For the Frenchman, the victory over Poatan ranks first among the triumphs of his career so far. Gane highlighted the Brazilian's status as champion, the importance of the venue where the confrontation took place, and the execution of his strategy as factors that made the result even more significant.

“It’s the biggest victory of my career. For now, because Alex Pereira is a great champion, because it was in front of him, it was at Casa Blanca. And because the strategy was really on point. So, yes, I can say it was my biggest victory,” concluded the Frenchman.
