Israel Adesanya commented on Ilia Topuria 's possible next step in the UFC. The Georgian has been working towards securing a rematch against Justin Gaethje , who inflicted his first loss in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg) in June at UFC White House.

In his podcast 'Precision with Izzy & Mighty', alongside Demetrious Johnson , available last Monday (21), the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) analyzed the scenario for Topuria and explained how he sees the best path for the fighter after the setback.

"After a beating like that, I would advise him not to accept the fight with Justin, because I think getting another win before fighting for the title would be better for him," said Israel Adesanya.

Ilia Topuria won the lightweight title by knocking out Charles Oliveira , but lost it to Gaethje shortly after. Now, the Georgian is looking for another opportunity against the American, while the UFC still needs to define the next steps for the division.
