It's no secret that Ilia Topuria wants to settle the score with Justin Gaethje . In June, in Washington (USA), the Georgian put his lightweight title (up to 70,3 kg) on the line for the first time, but was surprised and ended up being knocked out in the fourth round. And, given how the fight unfolded, Ali Abdelaziz, the new champion's manager, tried to frustrate 'El Matador'.

In an interview with 'Submission Radio', the UFC president ruled out any chance of his fighter giving Topuria a rematch. It's worth noting that recently, Jon Anik, the official UFC commentator, revealed that there are internal talks for a second fight between the two fighters to materialize. However, Abdelaziz believes that a possible rematch between Gaethje and the Georgian shouldn't be the company's priority, given that other important fights may take place in the lightweight division and that the defeated fighter, who left the octagon disfigured, could lose his way completely.
“He won’t face Gaethje next. He doesn’t give the order. In the end, that fight will never happen. Gaethje has nothing to gain by beating Topuria again. Zero. If he were beating Gaethje, he would have nothing to gain by winning again,” said the official.
“It’s not a good rematch. The UFC does good business. Why would you give one of your greatest champions a chance to lose again and be penalized for the rest of his life? That would be crazy,” he concluded.
