Deiveson Figueiredo has adopted a stance that few were expecting after UFC 331. Currently, the Brazilian is preparing to face the dangerous and popular Payton Talbott in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg) at UFC 332, an event scheduled to take place on October 3rd in Utah (USA), but at the same time, he hasn't forgotten his past in the flyweight division (up to 56,7 kg) and is closely observing champion Joshua Van.

So much so that, on his official 'Instagram' account, Deiveson made a point of congratulating the Burmese for his convincing victory in the rematch against Alexandre Pantoja , held last Saturday (19). However, anyone who thinks that the Brazilian only admires Van is mistaken. In the same publication, the veteran, former king of the flyweight division, made clear his interest in facing the young man who has been punishing his rivals.

And Deiveson's stance is surprising, because he never hid the fact that he suffered terribly to make weight for his old category, and at 38 years old, that battle would be even greater. In any case, despite the challenge, the Brazilian is unlikely to achieve what he seeks, as he has lost two fights in a row and has been defeated in four of his last five bouts.

“Congratulations, Van. Hey, Dana White, Mick Maynard, I’m ready to reclaim my belt 😈🤝,” wrote the former UFC champion.
