Cyril Gane already has a defined opponent to dispute for the heavyweight belt (up to 120,2 kg). With Tom Aspinall sidelined due to an eye injury, Alex Poatan gained momentum for a rematch against the Frenchman for the category's undisputed title. The Brazilian, however, was left out of the plans, and Josh Hokit will be responsible for facing the 'Good Boy' at UFC 334, scheduled for November 14th.
Riding a four-fight winning streak in the organization, Josh Hokit arrives at UFC 334 in his first year in the world's largest MMA organization. The American's rapid rise also draws attention for his ability to steal the spotlight with his trash talking and provocative attitude before fights.

Gane, in turn, will have a new opportunity to win the undisputed heavyweight title. The Frenchman has already challenged for the title on other occasions, but was defeated by Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones , in addition to having a no-contest against Tom Aspinall.
Alex Poatan is left out.
Although he is ranked ahead of Josh Hokit in the heavyweight division, Alex Poatan has only one fight in the division, which was a loss to Ciryl Gane . The expectation is that the Brazilian will face another top name in the category, with Serguei Pavlovich appearing as one of the most likely opponents.
