UFC Bonuses! Despite the loss, Alexandre Pantoja leaves UFC 331 with a full wallet; see the prizes.

Alexandre Pantoja failed to regain the flyweight belt, but not all is bad news. In the main event held this Saturday (19), in California (USA), the Brazilian lost the rematch to champion Joshua Van by unanimous decision, but he did not give up and demanded a lot from him. Because of the battle, the athlete, as well as the Burmese, won the 'Fight of the Night' bonus.

The organization announced the awards shortly after the event. Therefore, Pantoja and Van each took home a check for $100 (approximately R$515 at the current exchange rate).

The duel between the top flyweight fighters was intense, as expected, from start to finish. The Brazilian and the Burmese fighter alternated good moments, but the champion had the upper hand. At the end of the 25 minutes of action, Van impressed all three judges, winning by points and defending his title for the second time.

Arman Tsarukyan and Casey O'Neill were also honored by the UFC, but with the 'Performance of the Night' bonus. In the co-main event, the Armenian lived up to expectations and knocked out Mauricio Ruffy in the first round. As expected, the formidable fighter made it clear that he wants to challenge for the lightweight title. Meanwhile, on the preliminary card, the Scottish fighter submitted Eduarda Moura with an armbar in the first round, in a flyweight bout.

Special and unique bonus

Before UFC 331 took place, Dana White announced the 'Proper Chaos' bonus, created to promote the second season of the series 'Mobland', shown on 'Paramount'. Therefore, the UFC president determined that Sean Sharaf deserved the $50 bonus (approximately R$ 258 at the current exchange rate) due to the historic upset he pulled off.

The athlete needed an incredible 12 seconds to achieve a historic knockout against Gable Stevenson , Olympic wrestling champion and friend of Jon Jones . Not satisfied, Dana White, impressed by Sharaf's feat, rewarded him with an additional $50.

Other bonuses

Because they won via the fast track, Joanderson Tubarão , Marlon Vera , Patrício Pitbull , and Ryan Gandra earned a bonus of $25 (approximately R$129 at the current exchange rate).

Tubarão knocked out Giga Chikadze in the first round, Vera knocked out Charles Jourdain in the third round, Pitbull knocked out Doo-ho Choi in the first round, and Gandra knocked out Osman Diaz in the first round.
