One of the most popular names in MMA history, Alex Poatan is used to interacting with fans and admirers from all over the world. However, the Brazilian also seems to know how to make these already common moments more exciting, perhaps even too much. In a video published on social media last Tuesday (15), the former middleweight (up to 83,9 kg) and light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) champion joked with some men who were waiting for photos and autographs in Phoenix, Arizona.
In the video, posted by the profile 'We Are Chama', a supplement brand owned by the Brazilian, Poatan stares at fans for a few seconds, generating tension and uncomfortable smiles. Then, he shouts and pretends to run towards them. The action generated laughter from everyone present and showed the friendly way the Pataxó Indian treats his admirers.

Poatan may be close to another title fight.

With Tom Aspinall 's injury and Ciryl Gane 's promotion to the undisputed champion title, the Brazilian may have the chance for a rematch with the Frenchman, thus having another chance to realize his dream of becoming the first fighter in history to win belts in three different weight classes in the biggest MMA event on the planet. In their first encounter, held at the White House in June of this year, the São Paulo native was knocked out in the second round in a fight full of controversy.
