The greatest and best MMA fighter in history, Jon Jones, simply had a day of fury on social media. Last Monday (14), the American, after responding to Islam Makhachev , did not forget Tom Aspinall and intensified the rivalry. All because, on the same day, the Englishman, out of action since October 2025, decided to give up the heavyweight belt (up to 120,2 kg) because he is still injured and has no return date to the UFC.

On his official 'X' account, Jones reposted a post from the profile 'The Honest Jones Fan', which wrote, “This confirms that his 'injury' wasn't that serious and that the UFC was confident he could defend the belt at the appropriate time. Aspinall, however, knows he can't beat Gane, so he chose the easy way out. Absolutely shameful.”
Therefore, 'Bones', in writing, " My feelings exactly," agreed with his fan's view, who accuses the Englishman of continuing to emphasize the eye injury caused by Ciryl Gane 's pokes in the fight and that he relinquished the title for fear of being defeated in the rematch. It's worth remembering that, despite the fight being stopped in the first round, many saw the Frenchman as having the advantage. To date, Aspinall has not commented on the American's attack.
