The announcement of the end of Valentina Shevchenko 's reign and the title fight between Natália Silva and Wang Cong in the flyweight category (up to 56,7 kg) caught many by surprise, but not everyone reacted to the news positively. Brendan Schaub , for example, made sure to criticize the fight.

Schaub, who competed in the UFC heavyweight category (up to 120,2 kg) between 2009 and 2014, spoke about the matter in a video published on his official YouTube channel last Tuesday (8). In an emphatic manner, he made clear his dissatisfaction with the holding of the fight.
“It’s a tragedy for a main event. This is, without a doubt—no bullshit, no exaggeration—the worst main event in the history of mixed martial arts. Wang Cong should never have been headlining a card. She certainly shouldn’t be fighting for a title shot. It’s unbelievable. There are many other women who deserve it much more. This is literally slacking off. It’s basically saying, ‘The crowd isn’t going to do shit. Just swallow this crap.’”

The two fighters involved in the main event of UFC 332 are experiencing very positive moments, although to varying degrees. While Cong is a very popular name, mainly due to her extensive resume in striking disciplines, the Brazilian boasts one of the longest winning streaks in the entire UFC.
With eight consecutive wins in the organization and 14 as a professional, she hasn't lost since December 2017. Since then, she has had great performances against names of the caliber of Rose Namajunas , Jéssica Andrade , and Alexa Grasso.
