If anyone doubted that Alex Poatan reacts badly to criticism, he released information that proves it. Having not fought since June in Washington (USA), the Brazilian awaits the UFC's decision regarding his future in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg), and in the meantime, he has been frequently appearing on social media, arguing with fans, journalists, and YouTubers. In fact, the 39-year-old veteran has adopted a drastic measure when dealing with those who hold opinions contrary to his.

In an interview with the channel 'Laerte Viana na área', Poatan simply rejected the fans who criticize him. Not satisfied, the Brazilian, showing that he feels affected by the opinions of others, revealed that he even blocks them. It is worth noting that his aggressive stance and explosive reactions on social media are causing the fighter, who was previously blindly defended by many, to now experience the other side of the coin.
So much so that the veteran began to receive even more criticism, became the butt of jokes, and even lost not only followers but also admirers. However, Poatan continues to pick fights with fans who criticize him, to the point of threatening them and giving them an ultimatum.
"My real fans, not these people who are criticizing me for some of the things I say, those aren't my fans. They can stop following me. They're not my fans, they can stop following me, I don't care. They should have stopped following me already."
"And another thing, in the comments from that kid who apologized, you can see I haven't had time anymore, lots of traveling, but when I see it, I'm deleting, blocking everyone. I do it myself, because sometimes I have time. Is there internet on the flight? Nine o'clock, I'm not sleepy, let me just block these people. Because I don't want people like that, starting trouble."
“Many people like to provoke, they feel a bit envious, many frustrated people. I know that's it, but there are many good people. Even knowing that one plus one equals two, they know, but they want to say three. These people are people who won't add anything. They're adding to the number of subscribers or followers, which, for me, makes absolutely no difference. The guy is a follower, but, honestly, I don't depend on followers.”
"I don't want followers like that, honestly. I don't need those people. People who criticize me, saying I won't have followers anymore, honestly, get lost. If they don't get lost, I'll delete them. I need my real fans. I know I have them. There's no way I can say I don't have fans. They are people who defend me tooth and nail. I'm very happy about that."
"People with good hearts, who like to help others. Many things I do, I don't show off. I do them because I like them, I do them from the heart. These people, please, don't leave. I ask you. If sometimes I say something stupid, I apologize to you, but to that other type of person, who pretends to be a fan, you can leave. I don't need you."
