Ultimately, UFC Paris was definitely not a good night for Michael Page , who left the octagon to loud boos in what was likely the farewell of the "New Anderson Silva" from the UFC. However, the night was even worse for his opponent. In addition to the loss to the Briton, Nursulton Ruziboev left the Arcor Arena directly for the hospital to treat his left knee, which was hit by a powerful kick from MVP.
The attack, known as an oblique kick, occurred midway through the second round. Caught completely off guard, Ruziboev clearly had difficulty moving in the minutes that followed. In a video posted on social media a few hours after the fight, the fighter was seen heading to the operating table.

The severity of the injury was not disclosed, but the athlete had already undergone two procedures to repair anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears earlier this year, indicating that the problems may have resurfaced.
The new Anderson Silva is not expected to return to the UFC.

Despite a moment of rare brilliance, Page's performance left much to be desired. In total, he landed only 12 significant strikes throughout the 15-minute fight, enough to secure a unanimous decision victory. Overall, he won five of his six fights in the UFC, but frustrated fans' expectations by not delivering exciting fights.
With the end of his six-fight contract, it is unlikely that MVP will remain in the UFC. On Monday (7), journalist John Morgan revealed that the fighter is no longer eligible among the organization's ranked athletes, which reinforces the beliefs of his dismissal.
