Paulo Borrachinha is not convinced about Alex Poatan 's current status in the UFC rankings. After Cris Cyborg pointed out the organization's lack of criteria in stripping Valentina Shevchenko of her belt while keeping Kayla Harrison 's , the Brazilian went further and questioned the consistency of the Brazilian's ranking in the light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) and heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg) divisions.
In a post on 'X', Paulo Borrachinha criticized the UFC's lack of a consistent standard in defining its rules and rankings. According to the Brazilian fighter, the organization adopts different criteria depending on the situation, which ultimately leads to what he considers inconsistent cases.
"Yes, this is really very inconvenient. The UFC doesn't have a consistent standard of behavior or a set of rules; they use double standards all the time," wrote Paulo Borrachinha.

Next, Borrachinha directed his questioning specifically to Alex Poatan 's situation . The Brazilian highlighted that the former light heavyweight champion remains ranked in the category even after moving up to heavyweight and losing, while also occupying fourth place in the 120,2 kg division without having won a single fight in the category. The Minas Gerais native also drew attention to the fact that Poatan is ahead of Josh Hokit in the rankings.
“Another thing is: why the hell is Alex still ranked in the light heavyweight division after fighting and losing in the heavyweight division? And why is he ranked 4th in the heavyweight division without a single win in the category, ahead of Josh Hokit ?”, concluded the fighter from Minas Gerais.
YEAH IT'S REALLY inconvenient; the UFC doesn't have a consistent standard of behavior or set of rules—they use double standards all the time. Another thing is, why on earth is Alex still ranked at Light Heavyweight after fighting and losing at Heavyweight? And why is he ranked… https://t.co/zem9CjD6DY
