After months away from the spotlight to take care of his health and enjoy a period of rest, UFC double champion Ilia Topuria is expected to reappear before mixed martial arts fans. His time away from the spotlight came after the first loss of his career , when he was knocked out by Justin Gaethje at UFC White House in June of this year.
According to Spanish journalist Álvaro Colmenero, in a live broadcast on his YouTube channel, 'KOLmenero', last Tuesday (1st), the knockout artist will reappear soon. The communicator, who is close to the athlete, detailed the schedule adopted by Topuria in recent months before this resumption.

“I know that Ilia will return to public life very soon, in the next few days. I don’t yet know exactly how this will happen, I don’t know what form it will take, but I know that Ilia will return to public life in September. July was clearly dedicated to recovering from his injuries and treatments, August was for vacation, and in September he returns to public life,” said the journalist.
Despite his time away from the sport following the defeat, the Georgian fighter has yet to comment on a return to MMA. Recently, Arman Tsarukyan hinted at a possible path for 'El Matador's' return.
