Last Tuesday (1st), the UFC gained new reinforcements via Contender Series and one who shone was Gabriel Lourenço. In the fourth episode of the tenth season of the program, held in Las Vegas (USA), the Brazilian fought a violent fight and delivered a brutal knockout to Charlie Cleveland in the first round. After watching the fight from the VIP box, Dana White showed his excitement with the newest heavyweight signing (up to 120,2 kg).

In the post-Contender Series press conference, the UFC president was impressed by 'Black Mamba's' physical attributes and exciting fighting style. And Dana's celebration makes sense, given that the heavyweight division is one of those most in need of renewal.

It's worth remembering that the UFC division no longer includes Francis Ngannou , Jon Jones , and Stipe Miocic , and champion Tom Aspinall is sidelined due to a serious eye injury. Therefore, the executive doesn't hide his eagerness to see what Gabriel can do in the organization.

"Well done, Gabriel. All I can say is that you had an incredible performance. The UFC has a new 26-year-old beast in the heavyweight division. Welcome, Gabriel. In the heavyweight division, seeing a young guy like him, so aggressive and going for the kill… I love that. We need guys like that in the heavyweight division."
