It seems that Khamzat Chimaev may be close to returning to the octagon. Having not fought since May in New Jersey (USA), the Russian, who lost the fight, the UFC middleweight title (up to 83,9 kg) and his undefeated MMA record to Sean Strickland , is close to facing Caio Borralho , his friend and former training partner.

On his official 'X' account, Chimaev was brief and accepted the Brazilian's condition for the important fight to happen. Recently, 'Borz' stated he was ready to compete and mentioned the American, Dricus du Plessis , Nassourdine Imavov , and Borralho as targets.
Next, the representative from the Fighting Nerds team celebrated being mentioned by the Russian and indicated that the duel between them could happen in November or December. Immediately, Khamzat, seeking redemption, gave his approval to Caio's proposal.

Khamzat Chimaev , 32, is one of the best and most fearsome MMA fighters today. The Russian began his career in the sport in 2018, debuted in the UFC in 2020, and became middleweight champion in 2025. Currently, he is ranked first in the division. Previously, 'Borz' also excelled in the welterweight division.
In this modality, the athlete competed in 16 fights, winning 15, 12 of which were by stoppage (six by knockout and six by submission), and losing once. His main victories were over Dricus du Plessis , Gilbert Burns , Kamaru Usman , and Robert Whittaker.
