After winning and unifying the lightweight title (up to 70,3 kg) by knocking out Ilia Topuria at UFC Casa Branca in June, Justin Gaethje is already planning his next challenges in the octagon. The American revealed which former opponents he would like to face again and even mentioned a big name he would have a special reason to fight.

In an interview with the YouTube channel UFC on Paramount, in content made available this Wednesday (2), Gaethje was asked which fighters he would choose for a next fight if he could define his next commitment. The champion did not hesitate to mention two names that have already crossed his path but also took the opportunity to mention another possible confrontation.

“If I could choose anyone, who would I fight again? It would be Oliveira or Holloway, but since Topuria beat them, I’ll justify it by saying I got my revenge. I think McGregor… it would be fun to shut him up,” declared Justin Gaethje.

The champion's statement shows his desire not to pursue rematches for now. The American has already faced and lost to Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway , but has not yet had the opportunity to share the octagon with Conor McGregor , in a duel that would be surrounded by great expectation.
