The tragic and unexpected death of Allan Puro Osso continues to impact the hearts of those who participated in the fighter's journey in the world of MMA. Now, the athlete's legacy will be immortalized in a different way. Leader of the Chute Boxe headquarters in São Paulo, Diego Lima announced this Wednesday (2) that the institute that bears his name will officially be called Allan Nascimento, as a tribute to his friend. He spoke about the matter in an interview with the website 'MMA Fighting'.

Visibly emotional, the coach reminisced about the long years of partnership and friendship he shared with Nascimento, one of the longest-serving members of Chute Boxe Diego Lima. With tears in his eyes, he even revealed that he planned to retire as a coach after Puro Osso hung up his gloves.

“Allan has been my student since he was 14 years old, so we've been together for 20 years. It's been almost a month since he passed away, and there hasn't been a day that I haven't cried. Our institute, which is currently called Diego Lima, will be renamed the Allan Nascimento Institute. As long as I live, I will honor his name. I will say his name. He is my student, my athlete, one of the most loyal friends I've ever had,” he stated.

Besides being one of the team's most talented athletes, Diego revealed that Allan's role also extended to the academy's business dealings. The end of their relationship after decades of friendship has been particularly difficult for the coach.

“He was my partner. Many people didn't know, but he was a partner in all aspects of the business. He handled all the emails. After he retired, I was going to take over everything. But our ideas ended up changing a bit,” he concluded.
