José Miguel Delgado has ambitious plans in the UFC, and Jean Silva is just the first obstacle. After Yair Rodriguez withdrew from facing the Brazilian at Noche UFC , the Mexican prospect accepted the spot and is scheduled to face Jean in the main event, set for September 12th. Even having accepted the fight with little preparation time, Delgado is already aiming for bigger things within the organization.
In a video published by the UFC on social media, José Miguel Delgado stated that he intends to defeat Jean Silva and then seek a fight with Alexander Volkanovski . The Mexican also revealed his goal of winning the UFC belt, defending it for a long time, and establishing himself among the best fighters in the world.

This will be Jean Silva 's second appearance at Noche UFC , an event celebrating Mexican independence. In his first appearance, in September 2025, 'Lord' faced Diego Lopes in a fight surrounded by controversy and provocations, but ended up being defeated by knockout in the second round.
