Song Yadong 's surprising victory in the main event of UFC Shanghai continues to generate interesting reactions in the MMA world. Henry Cejudo , who shared the octagon with the Chinese fighter in February of last year, came to Umar Nurmagomedov 's defense when analyzing the fight this Monday (31).
During the latest edition of the 'Pound 4 Pound' podcast, the former fighter surprised everyone by saying that the fight's outcome doesn't reflect the performance of the best athlete. According to Cejudo, the knockout was a momentary event.

The fight with Yadong brought very specific circumstances for Cejudo. Unable to continue after being hit in the eye with a finger in the third round, the former champion found himself defeated by technical decision. This was the last fight of Triple C's career.
