At 46 years old, Glover Teixeira made a spectacular boxing debut. Last Saturday (29), in São Paulo, the professional punished Maurício Shogun in the main event of Spaten Fight Night 3 and won by unanimous decision. Due to his advanced age for competition, many thought that this was the Brazilian's last performance. However, the former UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) has a different plan.

Glover revealed that he intends to follow in the footsteps of Acelino Freitas, "Popó," that is, to fight against artists, influencers, or YouTubers. It's worth noting that the former world boxing champion, a regular on the Fight Music Show , has already faced veteran and retired fighters, but stressed that now, at 50 years old, his focus is simply on having fun in the ring against celebrities. Following this logic, the MMA legend surprised everyone by showing himself open to facing Kleber Bambam, winner of BBB 1 (Big Brother Brazil 1) who was knocked out in seconds by the Bahia native in 2024.
"Who knows, maybe I'll fight some influencers, like Popó. A more relaxed fight. The guy puts Shogun against me. He puts Bambam against me or someone, some more laid-back guys (laughs). Maybe next time," said the MMA legend in an interview with the beer brand.

Glover Teixeira , 46, made his mark on MMA and became a legend. The Brazilian began his career in the sport in 2002, became the UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) in 2021, and retired in 2023.
In this style of fighting, the veteran built a record of 33 wins, 28 by stoppage (18 by knockout and ten by submission), and nine losses. His main victories were over Anthony Smith , Jan Błachowicz, Jared Cannonier , Quinton Rampage Jackson , Rashad Evans , Ryan Bader , and Thiago Marreta.
