In an interview with 'MMA Fighting', Glover, upon learning that he had been challenged by Alexander Gustafsson , didn't hesitate to accept the fight. Furthermore, if the fight happens, it will be a rematch. In 2017, in the UFC, the Swede knocked out the Brazilian in the fifth round. Therefore, as he has already stated his intention to continue competing, the 46-year-old athlete seemed excited about the possible rematch.

“I did well. I trained hard for this and I’m happy with my performance. I’ll keep training and we’ll see what happens. I was out for three and a half years. I think if I have a fight in the next six months, maybe I’ll be better. 100%. I came back and felt good. I think I felt a little lack of fight rhythm, but coming back is incredible. I’ll fight any fight that makes sense,” said the veteran.

Glover Teixeira , 46, made his mark on MMA and became a legend. The Brazilian began his career in the sport in 2002, became the UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) in 2021, and retired in 2023.

In this style of fighting, the veteran built a record of 33 wins, 28 by stoppage (18 by knockout and ten by submission), and nine losses. His main victories were over Anthony Smith , Jan Błachowicz, Jared Cannonier , Quinton Rampage Jackson , Rashad Evans , Ryan Bader , and Thiago Marreta.
