There is life beyond the UFC in Brazil. Liga Monstro Combate held its second edition this Friday (28) and featured the victories of former UFC fighters Marlon Moraes and Glaico França against Maximiliano Demonio Pérez and Willian Rottwailer, respectively.

In the main event of the night, Marlon Moraes defeated Argentinian Maximiliano “Demonio” Pérez by unanimous decision, in his return to MMA after a three-year absence since leaving the UFC. The Brazilian controlled much of the fight and secured the victory after three rounds.

In the co-main event, Glaico França defeated Willian “Rottwailer” Lima by technical knockout in the first round. The TUF Brazil 4 champion took the fight to the ground and secured the stoppage after a series of elbow strikes.

One of the most intense moments of the night occurred in the Crown Fight, an exclusive modality created by Liga Monstro Combate. In the lightweight division, Rayan “Polacco” defeated Ryan “Tupã” by knockout at the end of the first round, in a fast-paced fight.

Crown Fight features the so-called Red Zone, a specific period within the rounds where athletes exclusively engage in striking exchanges. This modality debuted at the first LMC event and returned to the card in São Paulo.

Fernanda Alada wins women's bout by split decision.

Another highlight of LMC 2 was the women's strawweight bout between Fernanda Alada and Nataly Ferreira. After three close rounds, Fernanda emerged victorious by split decision.

The fight was part of the professional MMA card for the second edition, which also featured the women's bout between Nilza "Chun-Li" and Nathy Silva.

Stanley "The Mask" is once again drawing attention in boxing.

Boxing also featured prominently at LMC 2. Sthanley “O Maskara” defeated Felipe Freitas in a catchweight bout at 100 kg.

The fight was marked by provocations since the week of the event and ended after the third round, when Felipe did not return for the fourth round, confirming Sthanley's victory. The athlete had been one of the biggest digital highlights of the first edition of LMC, when his fight against Sancho Loko generated millions of views on the organization's social media.

Knockouts and submissions marked the night.

In addition to the main highlights, LMC 2 had a series of results before the limit. Kauã Mattoso defeated Junior “Barata” by technical knockout in the second round, while Anderson “Louco” Soares defeated Erick “Sorriso” by knockout in the second round.

In women's MMA, Nilza "Chun-Li" submitted Nathy Silva in the first round, maintaining her undefeated record. Maycon Alcino, winner of the first Crown Fight in LMC history, submitted Caique "Dark" with a rear-naked choke in the second round. Luis Gustavo also won by submission.

LMC 3 already has a scheduled date.

Shortly after the conclusion of the second edition, Liga Monstro Combate confirmed the date for the next event.

LMC 3 will be held on September 25th, again in São Paulo, continuing the organization's monthly schedule. The League is preparing new features for the next edition, which will be announced soon.

Holding monthly events is part of LMC's new phase, which has begun using RedeTV! studios as the venue for its events in São Paulo. The organization's first event took place in Curitiba in June.

The LMC's debut featured 13 fights and reached over 3 million people, according to the organization's media kit. The first edition also placed RedeTV! third in the audience rankings for Greater São Paulo. Digitally, the League accumulated over 20 million views in the 90 days prior to LMC 2.

With two editions already completed, the Monster Combat League is now moving on to the third chapter of its calendar in 2026.
