Bia Souza suffered a major upset at Spaten Fight Night 3, held this Saturday (29). The Olympic judo champion faced her rival Raz Hershko and, although she went onto the mat with a history of six wins against the Israeli, the Brazilian ended up being defeated in Golden Score.

The athletes began the match using considerable force in the struggle for grips. In one of Raz Hershko's attacks, Bia managed to dominate the top position, but couldn't find an opening to score.

Next, the Brazilian attempted a seoi-nage, but the move wasn't enough to score points. Back in the center of the mat, Bia went for an uchi-mata, but the Israeli managed to defend and return to a standing position before being taken down again.

In the final stretch of the fight, Hershko attempted another takedown, but ended up on all fours. Bia seized the opportunity and almost managed to finish her opponent with a choke, but the Israeli was saved by the end of regulation time.

Hershko decides on the Golden Score

With Golden Score underway, Raz Hershko charged at Bia Souza and managed to throw the Brazilian off balance. The move was enough to secure a yuko and seal the victory for the Israeli over the Olympic champion.
