Rafaela Silva showed why she is considered one of the greatest names in Brazilian judo. The Rio native competed in the first judo match in Spaten Fight Night history and dominated Mexican Prisca Awiti Alcaraz until her arm was raised after securing a Waza-ari and a Yuko advantage.

The victory at Spaten Fight Night 3 adds to the Brazilian's collection, which includes a gold medal from the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and a team bronze medal from Paris 2024.

Furthermore, Rafaela Silva has accumulated two individual world titles, won in 2013 and 2022, in addition to gold at the Pan American Games. The judoka also continues to shine on the international circuit, with significant achievements such as the Paris Grand Slam.

Rafaela Silva started the fight aggressively, dominating the holds against Prisca Awiti Alcaraz. The Mexican attempted a sacrifice takedown, but ended up on the bottom. The Brazilian landed on top and tried to advance to the back, but was unable to progress in position.

Next, Prisca attempted another sacrifice attack, exposing her arms during the movement, but Rafaela defended easily. The Brazilian managed to get to her back, secured the hooks, and even attempted an armbar submission, but didn't have enough time to complete the move.

After the fight returned to a standing position, the athletes experienced a period of inactivity and ended up being penalized. The penalty, however, served as fuel for Rafaela. Defending against another attack attempt by the Mexican, the Brazilian managed to pass the guard and threaten a choke, securing a Waza-ari and a Yuko before having her arm raised as the winner.
