Song Yadong delivered an unpleasant surprise to Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC Shanghai , held this Saturday (29). The Chinese and the Russian faced each other in the main fight of the event and, still in the second round, Khabib Nurmagomedov 's cousin ended up being surprised by a counter punch that knocked him out.
The fight ended in the second round, when the fighters were measuring the distance without exposing themselves too much. Confident, Umar closed in and tried to grab Yadong's legs, but Yadong anticipated the move and landed a precise uppercut, knocking out the Russian and ending the fight by knockout.

With the knockout, Song Yadong reached his 24th career victory, his tenth by knockout. Umar, on the other hand, suffered his second defeat in 22 UFC fights.
