André Mascote proved his evolution in all areas at UFC Shanghai , held this Saturday (29). The Brazilian entered the fight that closed the preliminary card and dominated Namsrai Batbayar in the striking for a good part of the confrontation, until securing the victory by submission with a tight guillotine.
With the victory, André Mascote reached 12 wins in his career and left behind his only defeat, suffered in his last fight. On the other hand, Batbayar debuted in the organization with a loss.

Mascote started the fight dominating the center of the octagon, while Batbayar relied on feints and circled the cage. During an approach by the Brazilian, Namsrai launched a series of crosses, which were blocked by Batbayar's guard. Mascote then countered with a straight punch followed by a low kick.
Relentless in the octagon, Mascote pursued the Mongolian fighter, connecting with jabs and low kicks, preventing his opponent from finding space to land his strikes.
In the second round, Mascote resumed his pressure and sought a more open fight. With his guard high, the Brazilian blocked most of the Mongolian's attacks, while connecting with strong punches and kicks.
In the third round, André once again took the initiative with jabs, feints, and low kicks. Batbayar, in turn, relied on movement and waited for an opportunity to deliver a decisive blow.
Then, in a moment of carelessness from the Mongolian fighter, who lost his balance while attempting a cross, the Brazilian took advantage, lassoing his opponent's neck and jumping into a guillotine choke. The submission locked in and ended the fight, securing another victory for Mascote in the UFC.

Rei Tsuruya dominates Kevin Borjas and wins by submission.
Rei Tsuruya showed why he is considered one of Japan's greatest hopes in the UFC octagon. The 24-year-old prospect took Kevin Borjas to the ground in the opening seconds and dominated his opponent until securing the submission at the end of the first round.
With the victory, Tsuruya reached his 12th career win, his 10th by stoppage. Borjas, on the other hand, suffered his sixth defeat in professional MMA.

Sean Woodson wins duel of styles
In a duel of contrasting strategies, Sean Woodson sought to maintain distance, while Jack Jenkins opted for close-quarters combat. In the end, the American's strategy prevailed, securing a narrow victory by split decision.
With the victory, Woodson reached 14 career wins and recovered from his loss to Dan Ige in the final round. Jenkins, on the other hand, suffered his third defeat in the UFC.
