Spectacular! That's how you could define the knockout delivered by Brazilian Julia Polastri against Chinese Xiong Jingnan at UFC Shanghai , an event held in the early hours of this Saturday (29). The Brazilian athlete achieved victory with a high kick, which hit her rival's head squarely, leaving her completely dislocated in the octagon ( see the video below ).
The strike delivered by Julia can already be considered a candidate for 'knockout of the year' among women in MMA.

With this result, Julia recovers from the setback suffered in her last fight against fellow Brazilian Talita Alencar in April. She has a record of 14 wins and six losses. On the other hand, Jingnan, who arrived at the UFC with only one loss, suffers her second consecutive defeat within the organization. She has a record of 19 wins and three losses.

The fight began with Xiong Jingnan taking the initiative. The Chinese fighter closed the distance and landed the main strikes, while Polastri retreated. From the middle of the first round onwards, the Brazilian took control of the action, responding to all attacks with decisive strikes.
The fight ended in grand style. Xiong Jingnan attempted to attack with two crosses, but Julia dodged well and countered with a beautiful high kick. The Chinese fighter fell to the ground helpless, and the referee declared a knockout.
