Spaten Fight Night 3: Glover Teixeira vs. Maurício Shogun – Results

Spaten Fight Night is back! In its third edition, the event features a series of fights to thrill the audience this Saturday night. The main event is a boxing match between true MMA legends. Both former UFC light heavyweight champions (up to 93 kg), Glover Teixeira and Maurício Shogun will face off for eight rounds in the super heavyweight division (up to 110 kg).

Almost a year after the bizarre and memorable brawl between Wanderlei Silva and Acelino Popó , Spaten is betting on a new format of fights to expand its audience. In addition to the already well-known boxing matches, attendees will also have the opportunity to watch judo and boxing matches.

While the relationship between Glover and Shogun doesn't seem to have major problems, the same cannot be said of the duel between Nicholas Meregali and Felipe Preguiça, stars of world jiu-jitsu. Avowed rivals, the two have already shared the mat twice, with Meregali coming out on top in both encounters.

With numerous taunts exchanged on social media, Preguiça hopes to use the trilogy to get revenge at one of the most anticipated national events of the year.

Spaten Fight Night 3 will also feature the elite of Brazilian judo. Rafaela Silva and Beatriz Souza, Olympic champions in 2016 and 2024 respectively, will represent the country in judo duels following the trilogy between Preguiça and Meregali.

While Rafaela faces Prisca Awiti in the welterweight division, Bia takes on Raz Hershko in the heavyweight division.
