Money Moicano MMA needed only one edition to place an athlete in the biggest MMA organization in the world. Hector Santiago, 33 years old, will make his UFC debut this Saturday (29), when he will face Lawrence Lui in a duel valid for the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg).
The opportunity came shortly after the Brazilian stood out in the inaugural edition of Money Moicano MMA. In May, Hector faced Paulo Nogueira and gave his opponent no room to maneuver, securing a knockout victory in the first round. His performance drew attention and helped open doors for the fighter to quickly reach the UFC.

With an aggressive style, Santiago built a record of six wins and only one loss as a professional. Of those six wins, five were by knockout, showcasing the Brazilian's finishing power and justifying the expectation for his debut in the sport's main organization.
Now, Hector will face a new challenge in his career. Lawrence Lui will also be looking for his second UFC victory, pitting two athletes against each other who come into the fight with a lot to prove.
For Santiago, the duel represents the chance to transform his rapid rise on the national scene, from his first professional MMA fight in 2024, into a victorious start to his UFC career. The Brazilian will now have the opportunity to showcase his potential on the sport's biggest stage.
