Renato Moicano slams Poatan after the former UFC champion's latest controversy: 'He's gone crazy'

Renato Moicano didn't appreciate the latest controversy involving Alex Poatan on social media. Coming off a loss at UFC Casa Branca , the former champion couldn't hold back when YouTuber Carlos Figueira suggested he would be taken down in a potential fight against Sergei Pavlovich and lashed out with insults. However, this attitude was criticized by 'Money'.

In a live YouTube broadcast, Renato Moicano assessed that Alex Poatan had gone too far by engaging in yet another argument on social media. The fighter recalled that he had already advised the Brazilian to avoid this type of confrontation and considered the decision to attack Carlos Figueira particularly inappropriate.

“ In my opinion, Alex Poatan has gone crazy… We had already told him not to comment on Canal Lanche and those guys, it makes no sense at all. Then, to come and talk about Carlos Figueira, that's madness… You go to 'X' now and everyone is criticizing him (Poatan),” said Renato Moicano.

Despite disapproving of Poatan's behavior, Moicano was even more critical of Carlos Figueira's reaction. According to the fighter, the YouTuber erred in backing down after the provocation and apologizing to the former champion. In 'Money's' view, Figueira should have maintained his composure and confronted Poatan directly, as he considered the fighter to be in the wrong.

“Now, what nobody is criticizing is Carlos Figueira. He should take this situation and apologize. He made a video today apologizing, saying he doesn't want to meet Poatan, that Poatan is a great champion. Carlos Figueira simply chickened out. It makes no sense at all. If Poatan is wrong, Carlos is three times more wrong. He should have confronted the guy. He was right, and why did he make a video apologizing to Poatan? Poatan was wrong and now deserves applause,” concluded the YouTuber fighter.
