Lerryan Douglas arrived at UFC Sacramento surrounded by expectation for his second fight in the Ultimate, but saw the confrontation end in a frustrating way. The Brazilian faced Jamall Emmers last Saturday (22) and ended up being knocked out in the first round, in a result that interrupted the momentum he was trying to build in the organization.
In an interview with Laerte Viana's channel, this Tuesday (25), Lerryan revealed that he did not get dizzy or pass out during the fight. According to 'Pistoleiro' the main problem was a strong sensation in his eye, accompanied by a complete loss of vision, which made him fear suffering a serious injury.

“I didn’t get dizzy, I didn’t pass out, nothing. In my case, I felt someone put something sharp in my eye. I completely lost my vision and felt a lot of pressure in my eye, it felt like my eye was going to explode. I said, ‘I’m going to go blind.’ I couldn’t see anything,” reported Lerryan Douglas.
The result in Sacramento marked Lerryan's first loss in the UFC. The Brazilian will now have to recover from the setback and seek a new opportunity to show his potential in the organization, after arriving at the fight with high expectations to take another step in his Ultimate career.

The former LFA champion secured his UFC contract after knocking out Cam Teague in 36 seconds at the Contender Series last September. Lerryan has a record of 14 wins and six losses, with eight wins by knockout and two by submission.
