Ranked number one in the UFC welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg), Carlos Prates is determined to face the toughest fight of all: champion Islam Makhachev . On August 15th, in Philadelphia (USA), the Russian defended his title for the first time by defeating Ian Machado Garry by unanimous decision. Last Sunday (23), Prates took advantage of the fact that the world's largest MMA organization announced that UFC 334 will be held on November 14, in New York (USA), and suggested that date and location to Makhachev. On his official 'Instagram' account, the Brazilian tagged the champion and only posted the question mark symbols, two eyes, a handshake and #andnew, indicating that the title will be his.

It's worth highlighting that the Russian has already made it clear that he likes to fight at the classic 'Madison Square Garden' and not only that. Makhachev acknowledged that it makes more sense to fight the Brazilian than Michael Morales and revealed that he intends to return to competition before Ramadan, with the possibility of defending his belt in November or December.
