Arman Tsarukyan is eyeing every opportunity to win his fight against Mauricio Ruffy at UFC 331. The Armenian will face the Brazilian on September 19th in Los Angeles (USA), in a co-main event that could have a major impact on the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg).
In an interview with the YouTube channel 'UFC on Paramount', available last Wednesday (19), Tsarukyan analyzed the characteristics of Ruffy and Charles do Bronx and explained how he sees a possible confrontation against the two Brazilians. The American Top Team fighter already beat 'The Shining', in 2024, at UFC 300.

“Oliveira is better than Luffy. Luffy is more dangerous; he has heavy hands. But, just like Oliveira, he only has grappling; he can't knock me out or submit me. So, there's no chance Oliveira can beat me,” said Arman Tsarukyan.
The comment shows the Armenian's confidence ahead of the encounter with Ruffy. Tsarukyan believes he has enough resources to deal with the main weapons of Alexander Volkanovski's partner and achieve a positive result at UFC 331.
Arman is coming off a five-fight winning streak, while Mauricio Ruffy is also on a good run, with two consecutive victories over Rafael Fiziev and Michael Chandler.

At 29 years old, Tsarukyan is considered one of the top names in the UFC lightweight division. A professional since 2015, the Armenian has a record of 23 wins and three losses, with nine wins by knockout and six by submission . Among his career highlights are victories over names like Beneil Dariush , Dan Hooker , and Charles Oliveira.
