Mauricio Ruffy makes no secret of his confidence for the biggest challenge of his UFC career. Facing Arman Tsarukyan in the co-main event of UFC 331 on September 19th in Los Angeles (USA), the Brazilian acknowledges his opponent's versatility, but assures that he is more concerned with executing his own plan to achieve his goal in the lightweight category (up to 70,3 kg).

In an interview with the YouTube channel 'UFC on Paramount', Ruffy highlighted that the Armenian is dangerous both standing and in takedowns and on the ground. Despite this, the Brazilian stated that he doesn't intend to be overly concerned about Tsarukyan's weapons and revealed what his priority is.

“Arman is dangerous in every area, he has good striking, high-level wrestling, he’s a good finisher, he has many qualities, but I don’t focus on what he brings to me. I focus on the champion I want to be. I know I need to defend takedowns and knock out my opponents, that’s why I go up there. I know the quality of my opponent, but, as they say in Brazil, whoever can do more cries less,” said Mauricio Ruffy.
