In February, the hitherto unstoppable Anthony Hernandez succumbed in the octagon and saw his eight-fight winning streak come to an end. Now, the American seeks recovery this Saturday (22) against Gregory Robocop , in the main fight of UFC Sacramento . And, determined to erase the bad impression left in the last fight, 'Fluffy' has allied himself with the very person who caused him the 'harm'.

On 'media day', Hernandez, determined to turn things around in the UFC, revealed that he had help from his nemesis Sean Strickland , the middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg), who knocked him out in the third round. And precisely because the bad boy has an intense training routine at the 'Xtreme Couture' gym, the star of Saturday's show guaranteed he is sharper and more motivated than ever to beat the Brazilian.
“It was fun. I got to train with a group of guys I already knew and who had already fought me. So, they understand what I bring to the table. And it was cool to be able to make quick adjustments. All these guys have multiple layers beyond striking, wrestling, and everything else. It was great to walk into a room full of high-level guys and see what I could do,” he said.
“For sure, it was fun, incredible. People are going to see a much sharper version of me, for sure. When you’re in the middle of guys like Strickland, telling everyone to beat me up, they’re coming at you. It’s a joy. It kind of rekindled my passion for martial arts.”
“When you’ve been in the sport for so long, things get kind of boring. People talk about motivation, but that shit doesn’t exist. You just have to get your ass out of that chair every single day and go train,” he concluded.
