Ian Machado Garry is still trying to digest his defeat to Islam Makhachev at UFC 330. The Irishman was defeated by the Russian last Saturday (15), in Philadelphia (USA), in a duel valid for the welterweight belt (up to 77,1 kg). A day after the setback, the Chute Boxe Diego Lima athlete used social media to reflect on the performance. (VIDEO BELOW).
In a video, Garry acknowledged that he could have delivered a better performance. Despite the frustration, the fighter made it clear that he intends to return to training and fighting quickly.

“I am not in this world to live up to other people’s expectations. I am here to live up to my own, and I know what I could have done,” said Ian Machado Garry.
“I couldn’t do it tonight and that’s only going to weigh on my conscience and my mind. So, I’m going back to the gym. We can continue doing what we’ve been doing. We’ll be back in the octagon soon, because there’s nothing better than activity in this sport,” concluded the Chute Boxe athlete.
With this result, Garry suffered his second defeat in professional MMA. The Irishman was coming off victories over Carlos Prates and Belal Muhammad , arriving at UFC 330 as one of the top names in the division, but he couldn't overcome Makhachev's dominance, who defended his welterweight title for the first time.
