Henry Cejudo is not convinced of Carlos Prates ' chances against Islam Makhachev in the Ultimate. After beating Ian Machado Garry in the main event of UFC 330 , held last Saturday (15), and defending the welterweight belt (up to 77 kg), the Russian started to have the Fighting Nerds smoker considered as a possible next challenger, a scenario that did not excite 'Triple C'.
During an appearance on the 'Pound4Pound' podcast, Cejudo analyzed the potential matchup and highlighted stylistic differences as a factor favoring Makhachev. The former champion also compared the performances of Prates and Garry against the Russian, noting that the Brazilian only won one round against the Irishman, while Ian achieved the same result against Islam.

Carlos Prates could be Islam Makhachev's next challenger in the UFC.
Riding high after knockout victories over Geoff Neal , Leon Edwards , and Jack Della Maddalena , Carlos Prates emerges as one of the top contenders to challenge Islam Makhachev next in the UFC.
The Brazilian has already stated that the organization has signaled the possibility of putting him in a title fight, while the champion himself has shown enthusiasm for the idea of facing the fighter from São Paulo.
