Arman Tsarukyan points out that the undefeated star will not be the same in the UFC; understand why.

Arman Tsarukyan is scheduled to fight Mauricio Ruffy at UFC 331 on September 19th in Los Angeles (USA). The lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) bout pits two fighters against each other who are looking to climb to the top of the division. The Armenian fighter also took the opportunity to reveal his views on a possible arrival of Usman Nurmagomedov in the UFC.

During the press conference held last Friday (14), Tsarukyan was asked about Usman, who ended his contract with the PFL and is considered one of the main names outside the Ultimate. The Russian, who remains undefeated in MMA, is expected to join the organization and quickly compete for prominent positions in the division.

"So, we've seen a lot of people come to the UFC and lose. So, another organization that isn't the UFC, it's going to be the same thing," said Arman Tsarukyan.

Despite the impressive resume of Khabib Nurmagomedov 's cousin , the Armenian fighter downplayed the impact that a possible arrival of Usman could have on the division. For the American Top Team fighter, facing the top UFC athletes presents a completely different challenge.

Usman Nurmagomedov is one of the top names available on the market and has the backing of Islam Makhachev and Khabib, who have already expressed their support for their compatriot's arrival.

At 29 years old, Tsarukyan is considered one of the top names in the UFC lightweight division. A professional since 2015, the Armenian has a record of 23 wins and three losses, with nine wins by knockout and six by submission. Among his career highlights are victories over names like Beneil Dariush , Dan Hooker , and Charles Oliveira.

At 28 years old, Usman is considered one of the top names outside of the UFC. Undefeated in his professional career, the fighter has 22 wins, nine by knockout and seven by submission. The Russian recently had a rivalry with Irishman Paul Hughes , defeating him on two occasions.
