The start of the UFC 330 main card was definitely not positive for the Brazilians. Right after Edson Barboza's retirement , it was Kauê Fernandes' turn to be brutally knocked out. In just 39 seconds, Jailin Turner went after the Nova União pupil and managed to force referee Jason Herzog to stop the fight in order to protect the athlete's physical integrity.

Much taller, Turner wasn't content to use his greater reach to keep Fernandes at a distance. Quite the opposite. After catching one of the Brazilian's kicks and absorbing a spinning backfist without much difficulty, the Tarantula took his opponent to the ground with a powerful left cross, followed by several attacks that left him completely out of the fight.
