Recently, the Irishman, who is challenging champion Islam Makhachev in the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg) in the main event of UFC 330 , stated that the world would be a better place if women ruled it and admitted to having a strong 'feminine side'. At the event's media day, Mackenzie politely disagreed with Garry and defended the traditional man of valor. In fact, for having this opinion, the athlete was criticized by the bad boys Josh Hokit , Sean Strickland , Valter Walker , and many MMA fans.
“This is very complicated. I come from a somewhat more traditional upbringing. Obviously, the women in my family are very strong, independent, and they taught me to be a strong woman. But I don't know. I like the guy who protects, leads, does those things,” she said.
“I like to relax, but if I need to go to war with him, I will. But yes, I'm a mother and I do things like that. So, I think it's great that women are strong. We don't depend on men. We can be independent, but I like men taking the lead,” she concluded.

Mackenzie Dern , 33, is a jiu-jitsu legend and UFC strawweight champion. The Brazilian began her MMA career in 2016 and debuted in the organization in 2018. In the sport, she built a record of 16 wins and five losses. Her main victories were over Amanda Ribas , Angela Hill , Lupita Godinez , Tecia Torres , and Virna Jandiroba (twice).
