Usman Nurmagomedov risks not signing a contract with the UFC. After ending his contract with the PFL, fans and experts pointed to a possible move to the Ultimate Fighting Championship as the ideal next step for the Dagestani prospect. His team had even been planning potential fights against big names in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg). However, according to his manager, Ali Abdelaziz, the Russian's arrival in the world's largest MMA organization is still not confirmed.
In a video posted by Adam Zubayraev, Abdelaziz revealed that he still needs to speak with UFC executives before making any decisions. The manager also highlighted that, after this contact, he intends to discuss the fighter's future with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Usman himself, who will have an important role in defining the next steps in his career.

“I still don’t know. We have to talk to everyone. I’ll talk to the UFC… and after that, I’ll go back to the team and talk to Khabib and Usman and… and they will make a decision,” said Ali Abdelaziz.
Usman Nurmagomedov's career
At 28 years old, Usman is considered one of the top names outside of the UFC. Undefeated in his professional career, the fighter has 22 wins, nine by knockout and seven by submission. The Russian recently had a rivalry with Irishman Paul Hughes , defeating him on two occasions.
