Edson Barboza previews fight against Argentinian at UFC 330: 'It could be the end game'

Edson Barboza faces Esteban Ribovics next Saturday (15), on the main card of UFC 330 , in Philadelphia (USA), in a duel valid for the lightweight category (up to 70,3 kg). Close to the end of his career, the Brazilian revealed that he is not thinking about the future and prefers to concentrate all his attention on the challenge against the Argentinian.

In an interview with the American website MMA Fighting, Barboza acknowledged that his career is drawing to a close. Despite this, the veteran avoids setting a retirement date and insists he intends to enjoy every moment while he's still competing at a high level.

"Man, honestly I'm not even thinking about that, I'm just enjoying the moment and because I know the finish line is getting closer, you know when you're in a marathon and your body is in the final phase, and the finish line is approaching, that's why I'm not thinking ahead, I'm thinking about the next fight, it could be the finish line in this fight, I don't know," said Edson Barboza.

With a long history in MMA and years of experience in the UFC, Edson has built a career marked by great fights and spectacular knockouts. The Brazilian remains eager to compete and sees Ribovics as another opportunity to showcase his level within the organization.

“I am a very happy and comfortable guy with what I have done in my career. If I wanted to retire today, I would certainly lay my head on the pillow and sleep peacefully, because I know I did my best,” the Brazilian concluded.
